As Police Week 2022 Comes to a Close....

Today was the official end to Police Week 2022. Being able to follow some of the services via YouTube or livestreamed is a great thing for those of us who cannot attend in person, but still wish to pay our respects to the fallen and the survivor families. In addition to the schedule in Washington, D.C., there were events this month which took place locally, such as memorial ceremonies and the Unity Tour riders passing through parts of Delaware and Maryland.

This weekend we celebrate all mothers and moms, but especially the women who have chosen to serve in law enforcement. To those who decided to answer the call to protect your community, county or state, we remain ever grateful for your dedication and commitment.

National Public Safety Telecommunications Week 2022

Public Safety Telecommunications professional sounds like an ordinary, impersonal phrase used to describe a job opening, doesn't it? The wording of such a career does not truly convey or sum up the people who occupy such a role, nor does it begin to describe the multitude of tasks and skills this occupation encompasses.

I Hit A Wall And I'm Not Sure Where to Go From Here

I know lately there hasn't been much posted here or even on Facebook, and to be honest, I've hit a wall. Over the years since Delmarva Supports Law Enforcement was launched, I'd believed that in time there would be connections made and events to attend....but to date, those opportunities have been few. Okay, to be honest, they've been nonexistent.

  

Law Enforcement Appreciation Day: A Call To Action

It's early in the year - 2022 is just nine days old - and Law Enforcement Appreciation Day has again rolled across our calendars. There are so many phrases which could be written and posted today, eloquently-worded statements about honor and gratitude and thankfulness, and over the years we've attempted to write plenty of that type of content too. But this year, in light of recent events and losses, it seems appropriate post words of a different sort today.
