Part four of our week honoring those who serve our communities on four feet includes: K9's from the Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office, Ocean City Mounted Patrol, Weatherkitty of the Cecil County Sheriff's Office and K9 Officers from central Delaware.

Four-footed Officers of Delmarva (Part 2)
This week we are acknowledging a very important part of law enforcement - the animal officers who serve and protect in departments across the Delmarva Peninsula. Here is part 2 which features four canines and their agencies.

About: the "K-9 Unit provides enhanced institutional security and a drug interdiction capability. The K-9 training regimen includes on-going proficiency training, narcotic drug detection, offender disturbance control, perimeter security, evidence collection, escapee apprehension and crowd control, as well as basic training. Upon completion of training, teams are certified at the Police Dog I standard under guidelines established by the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA)."
