Law Enforcement Appreciation Day | January 9th, 2016

National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.) was created by the organization Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS), and is observed annually on January 9th.

"In light of recent negativity directed toward law enforcement nationally, there was a need to show law enforcement officers that our citizens recognize the difficult and sometimes impossible career they have chosen, in public service to us all."

Do you know of something planned for January 9th? We are happy to share events around the Delmarva area which support our law enforcement agencies. Find us on facebook!

Exciting news! Last year the The Original Greene Turtle in Ocean City, MD hosted a wonderful event for Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Along with the Ocean City Police Department, many nearby agencies attended and we are grateful to Mr. Pappas of the Greene Turtle for his continued support of our officers. We just learned they will be doing that again this year so plan to be there on the 9th!

Delmarva Supports Law Enforcement was established to recognize police officers of Delmarva (Delaware and the eastern shore areas of Maryland and Virginia), along with advocating respect for all who serve.
