Thank A Police Officer Day 2016 | Get Involved, Delmarva!

Attention artists, card-makers, letter-writers!! Art teachers, troop leaders, parents and community you want to hold a card-making and signing event? We are collecting cards to be distributed across Delmarva for Thank a Police Officer Day on September 17th. This is a great group project! Let's make sure that all our officers receive a note on September 17th.

Ready to get involved with making or signing cards? Any types of cards are fine - they can be large or small, fancy or basic, the goal is simply to fill them with messages of support for our officers. You can host a card-making party, invite your neighbors and friends over to join in, make a jumbo card and ask if you can set up a table at a local business. All community groups, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts or classrooms that would want to be involved with making and writing cards are welcome!

Are you part of a club or group who would like to get together to make and write cards? Please share this post so we have Girl Scout Troops, local organizations, community groups and classrooms getting involved with this project. We will have drop off locations around the area to be announced. PLEASE NOTE: Cards must be completed Monday, September 12th so that we can organize and distribute them.

Join the event on Facebook at See the slideshow from 2015 on YouTube!

A beautiful card is now on display in Seaford at the State Farm Office. You can stop by to add your message of support and also drop off your cards so they can be distributed for the 17th.
