September 19th, 2015, on the heels of the first Thank A Police Officer Day on Delmarva, this page was created with the goal of recognizing those who protect and serve. Our mission was to bring local news, upcoming events and information, to a central site with a positive focus on law enforcement, along with promoting and gathering support for the annual observance of Thank a Police Officer Day.

  
Seeing similar pages dedicated to area fire departments, it seemed only logical to establish one for law enforcement as well. Seven years later, a time frame tragically marked by dates which are forever imprinted on our lives, the losses of Correctional Officer Lt. Floyd, Deputy Ray, Corporal Heacook and Deputy Hilliard, it feels as if the entire world has changed. Our approach may have shifted, but the goal never did, and we thank each and every one of you who followed, shared and participated in our mission. More importantly, we thank each and every one who has stood by the Thin Blue Line and who continues to faithfully back our LEO in so many ways. Most importantly however, we honor the men and women who work tirelessly to make a difference in the world - our officers, deputies, sheriffs, special agents, ICE and all other branches of service.
