I'd lost an old recipe this holiday season, and I was running late with my usual seasonal treats; once I got home, I put my phone on the charger and immersed myself in the kitchen for several hours. Hours, it turned out, during which all hell broke loose in the northern part of our small state; hours during which one of our own Delaware people had the gun of a madman pointed and fired; hours of mayhem and panic and worst of all, the loss of our state trooper.
A life taken just the day before Christmas Eve.
Numb, angry, and brokenhearted for a family, along with the brothers in sisters in blue who knew and loved Trooper Snook; trying to process this news and the shattering fact that it is December 23rd.
Two days before Christmas.
Please pray for the people who lost their loved one, those who learned their friend is gone, and those who were on scene and who responded to an unfathomable tragedy.
We are devastated.
May you rest in peace, Trooper.
