Law Enforcement Appreciation Event 9.17.16
Saturday, September 17th is "Thank A Police Officer Day", created in 2012 by the Whole Truth Project. Observed nationally, we are working here in our community to inform residents of the date and to encourage support for our local law enforcement officers. There is a public Facebook event for the Delmarva area offering information so that citizens may get involved and participate. Everyone is invited to join in acknowledging those who protect and serve our neighborhoods and towns.
- What: Recognizing local agencies and departments
- Why: An opportunity for community to come together and say "Thank you"
- When: Saturday, September 17th
- Where: Delmarva Peninsula (DE and the eastern shore areas of MD and VA)
- Who we are: Delmarva Supports Law Enforcement is a community effort. We attend events for local departments, share news from area agencies and maintain a positive site to recognize the men and women who serve and protect.
