Annual "Thank A Police Officer Day" to be Observed September 17th, 2022

Save the date!! National "Thank A Police Officer Day" is coming up on the third Saturday in September, and as in years past, we are excited to honor and acknowledge our officers here on Delmarva. 2022 marks the ninth year we have been involved with this project, made possible only through the incredible efforts of area residents and amazing volunteers.

Established in 2012 by the Whole Truth Project, Thank A Police Officer Day is a special occasion to honor local law enforcement. While of course, we appreciate our LEO every day, we invite all of Delmarva to join us in saying "WE CARE" to area agencies on September 17th for the eighth year! Please consider “adopting” a local department, have lunch or dinner delivered to a nearby agency, display a blue light, flag or ribbon at your home or business or hold a church or community event. For more ideas and ways to get involved, please see our blog post "25 Ways To Get Involved".

Our hope is that as people come together to show appreciation to our LEO, you'll make new connections and meet other folks who believe in supporting our cops throughout the year! Find suggestions, ideas for participating and ways to spread kindness on our Facebook page albums and on this blog. Thank you! 💙⭐️💙

Sincerely,
