This town - a unique situation in that it encompasses two counties and both states of Maryland and Delaware - experienced tragedy and devastating loss when our beloved Corporal Keith Heacook was murdered in 2021. As in many other states, this town has struggled to find new members while exhausted officers worked to cover shifts, fought for better salaries, and lived the all too common scenario that faces departments everywhere. We fervently hope this day marks a new beginning for the town of Delmar, it's residents and for the health of our officers. Welcome Patrolman Powell and Patrolman Walters. We're glad to see you.
